Abstract

This essay discusses a case study carried out in the course Artes Visuais e Grafismo Infantil (Visual Arts and Children’s Drawing), offered in the second semester of the Licenciatura em Artes Visuais (Visual Arts License Degree) at the Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC). Through a set of drawing propositions developed with a ten-year-old child, the text examines how different pedagogical approaches shape children’s graphic production, revealing shifts from the usual drawing schemas toward a more attentive process of observation and experimentation. The discussion is informed by two key concepts, collecting and pedagogical scene, understood as organizational practices that mediate the perception and aesthetic experience of materials, in dialogue with Cunha (2021), Silva (2017; 2022), Lima and Lampert (2023), and Albers (2006).

Maria Fernanda Elias Menon, Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina/Licencianda em Artes Visuais- Departamento de Artes Visuais (DAV)

Bacharela em Moda (2024) pela Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC) e atualmente cursa Licenciatura em Artes Visuais na mesma instituição (2025–). Integra o projeto de extensão Estúdio de Pintura Apotheke.

Tharciana Goulart da Silva, Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC)/Professora Adjunta (Departamento de Artes Visuais (DAV))

Doutora (2022) e Mestre (2017) em Ensino das Artes Visuais pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais da Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (PPGAV/UDESC), graduada no curso de Licenciatura em Artes Visuais da UDESC (2015). É membro dos grupos de pesquisa "Entre Paisagens" (UDESC/CNPq) e "Experiências e Dissidências nas Artes Visuais" (UNIFAP/CNPq). É integrante da equipe editorial da Revista Apotheke (UDESC/PPGAV) e atua como professora adjunta no Centro de Artes, Design e Moda da UDESC, no curso de Licenciatura em Artes Visuais. Realiza pesquisas sobre Processos Fotográficos Históricos, coleções de professores artistas, a/r/tografia e Estágio Curricular Supervisionado.
