Personal branding in contemporary electronic music:
Identity, authenticity, and engagement

This study analyzes the personal branding strategies employed by DJ and music producer Blazy in building his personal brand within the electronic music scene, particularly in the psytrance genre. The research seeks to understand how his digital presence contributes to visibility and audience engagement. It is characterized as an exploratory and descriptive study, using content analysis as its primary methodological procedure. Data were collected through the mapping of Blazy’s official Instagram profile, considering posts published between January and June 2025. The analysis focused on post formats, engagement levels, themes, and interaction strategies. The results indicate that the humanization of communication, combined with aesthetic and narrative consistency, strengthens the artist’s personal brand. The study concludes that personal branding and strategic digital communication play a fundamental role in increasing visibility, fostering engaged communities, and consolidating careers in the contemporary electronic music industry.
