Author Biographies

• Ana Cleia Christovam Hoffman, Feevale University

  She is currently an Assistant Professor at Feevale University and a collaborating researcher in the Graduate Program in Cultural Processes and Manifestations, within the "Languages ​​and Teaching" research line. A faculty member in the Fashion program since 2011, she teaches courses on Stage Costume, Fashion Image Creation and Production, Personal Styling, Fashion Event Production, Fashion Marketing, and the Capstone Project (Collection Development). She has previously taught Fashion Retail, Design Management, and Color and Composition, as well as a Creativity Laboratory course within the Design program. She coordinated the "Projeta-me" teaching project, organizing the fashion show linked to student capstone projects from 2013 to 2020. She also conducts workshops at the Creativity Workshop of the São Pedro Psychiatric Hospital in Porto Alegre and teaches yoga at the Madre Pelletier Women's Penitentiary in Porto Alegre. She holds a PhD in Education (2021) and a Master’s degree in Education (2015) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), as well as a specialization in Art Pedagogy from UFRGS (2011) and a degree in Fashion Design and Technology from Feevale University (2009). She is a fashion producer, performer, and costume designer.

• Maria de Fátima Mattos, Centro Universitário Moura Lacerda

  Holds a PhD in Arts (Art History) from the School of Communications and Arts (ECA/USP, São Paulo) and a Master’s degree in History from the Faculty of History, Law, and Social Work at UNESP (Franca, São Paulo). She holds teaching licenses in Art Education, Music, Drawing, and Pedagogy, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Ribeirão Preto (UNAERP). She has taught Music Education and Art Education at the elementary and high school levels. Currently, she is a higher education professor at the Moura Lacerda University Center (Ribeirão Preto), teaching courses on Aesthetics and Art History, History of Brazilian Art, and History of Design within the Fashion and Architecture & Urbanism programs. She has experience in *lato sensu* postgraduate education, focusing on the history of domestic space planning and use, Modern Art, and material culture. She served as a professor and researcher in the *stricto sensu* postgraduate program (Master’s in Education - PPGE) from 2006 to 2021. She is an evaluator of higher education courses and institutions for INEP/MEC. Her research interests include Education, the history of educational institutions, school culture, fashion and women's education in the 19th and 20th centuries, vocational schools, and manual arts. She is the founder of the Fashion Colloquium (Colóquio de Moda, 2005) and a director of the Brazilian Association for Fashion Studies and Research (Abepem). She is a researcher at the São Paulo Institute of Creative Cities and Cultural Identities (IPCCIC) and a member of the Ribeirão Preto Academy of Education (ARE). She is a public speaker and has published numerous articles and books.

• Rosane Muniz Rocha, Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo

  Holds a PhD (2016) and a Master’s degree (2008) in Performing Arts from the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo (USP). She earned a degree in Journalism (2001) from Anhembi Morumbi University and completed a specialization in Cultural Journalism (2005) at PUC-SP. She entered the arts sector in 1982 and has worked in professional theater since 1993; after seven years, she transitioned from acting to specialized research in the field of costume design. She is the author of the book *Vestindo os nus – o figurino em cena* (Ed. Senac Rio, 2004), which contextualizes the importance of costume designers with diverse backgrounds working in Brazilian theater. She teaches in the postgraduate programs in Scenography and Costume Design at Centro Universitário Belas Artes, Art Direction at Centro Universitário Senac São Paulo, and Scenographic Design at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Since 2020, she has also served as a guest instructor for the technical course in Scenography and Costume Design at SP Escola de Teatro. She is the vice-coordinator of the Costume Sub-commission (2015–present) for the International Organisation of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians (OISTAT). She organizes and edits various publications in the field of scenography. Her work includes organizing national and international events, curating Brazil’s participation in the Prague Quadrennial (2011, 2015), curating and organizing costume events for World Stage Design (2013, 2017), and serving as a speaker and guest lecturer at international universities. She is the creator and author of the "Vestindo a Cena" channel and the research and performance project "Designers à Beira do Abismo." She is a member of the Spatial, Visual, and Sound Poetics Working Group (GT) of ABRACE. A member of the OISTAT Scenography Working Group and a co-founder of the teiabr platform, she is part of the Brazilian Curatorial Team responsible for creating, producing, and organizing the country's exhibitions for the Prague Quadrennial 2023. She serves as communications coordinator and researcher for the PQBrasil platform. She is currently the President of the Brazilian Association of Professionals in Stage Spatiality, Visuality, and Sound (Grafias da Cena Brasil, 2021–2025). Her work focuses primarily on the following areas: costume design, historical dress, Brazilian theater history, stage design, journalism, biography, and philosophy.
